Quite a Find: First Mention of Southern California Tennis Association in LA Times

The date was August 30, 1887. Check out the front page of the Los Angeles Times mentioning the USTA Southern California's first tournament. You will have to zoom in to see it, but it's there: sixth column a little more than half way down.
